The acquisition of The Village outdoor mall in Warner Center by Rams owner Stan Kroenke grabbed headlines across the region on Dec. 27 but it hardly came as a surprise to Vahid Khorsand.
As former vice president of the Los Angeles City Planning Commission, Khorsand saw The Village and the nearby 34-acre Promenade mall site, recently purchased by Kroenke’s company for $150 million, as a single, sprawling development.
He expected Kroenke’s future projects to reimagine the West San Fernando Valley as a destination.
“I don’t think we had that before,” said Khorsand, now a commissioner on the Los Angeles Board of Public Works. “There’s a different level of excitement.”https://www.dailynews.com/2022/12/31/west-valley-faces-big-change-as-stan-kroenke-buys-massive-site-in-warner-center/
